Will It Work? Reprise

In a previous post, I expressed my misgivings about the new Bible literacy project. Berit Kjos has done some good analysis, and has come to largely the same conclusion I arrived at, though I did not have the opportunity to analyze it. This new project is not to be trusted by those who hold the Bible to be God's Word. Here is Kjos's article.

I don't understand the motivation of the author of this article. WORLD Magazine and a host of leading Christians have endorsed and contributed to this textbook. I got an e-mail from Focus on the Family about it. But maybe all these people are part of the one world conspiracy too?? Seems a little overblown to me.

Rick,

Maybe I am a bit paranoid. I guess we will have to see the fruit.

I just sent this letter to Mrs. Kjos:

Dear Mrs. Kjos,

I am very concerned that you recommend the National Council on Bible Curriculum in Public Schools, when their chief spokesman is Mr. Chuck Norris, as shown on their website.

Mr. Norris is a serious advocate and practictioner of Zen and teaching martial arts to children. If he is in support of this curriculum I am deeply disturbed. So is Joyce Meyer, preacher of the false prosperity gospel.

Unfortunately I believe that the ever-pervasive effort to mold our children into the new age mindset has also infected this organization and serious Christians should turn away from it.

Please pray over this information.
